What is Plai Engine?
Plai Engine is a Decision Intelligence system that simulates real human player behavior inside video games. It is designed for game studios and QA teams who need to test gameplay at scale using AI players that behave like real people — not perfect bots.
Is Plai Engine available to use right now?
We are currently in active development using Stardew Valley as our alpha proof of concept. You can watch the AI play live on our Twitch stream. If you are a studio or QA team interested in an early partnership, contact us directly.
How is Plai Engine different from traditional test automation?
Traditional test automation follows rigid scripts and repeatable paths. Plai Engine uses a dynamic decision loop driven by personalities, moods, skills, and conditional logic — producing organic, human-like gameplay that discovers edge cases scripts cannot predict.
Can Plai Engine work with any game?
Yes. The engine architecture is game-agnostic. Each game integration requires implementing a bridge layer — a thin interface that exposes game state to the engine. The core decision systems are fully portable across genres and platforms.
How many AI instances can run simultaneously?
The engine is designed to be extremely lightweight and concurrent. Exact limits depend on your infrastructure, but the architecture is built to support hundreds to thousands of simultaneous AI player instances against a single game build.
Where can I watch the current alpha?
